Celebrating Milestones: NBSC Student Teachers’ Culmination Program

On a fairly weathered afternoon on the 23rd day of May 2023, the Teacher Education Program (TEP) of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) conducted the student teachers’ culmination program at the NBSC covered court with the theme: “Withstanding the Odds through Resilience and Perseverance.”

The program commenced with heartwarming and inspirational messages from Dr. Anna Marie D. Genita, the student intern supervisor, and Dr. Christine C. Royo, the Program Head of TEP. Both messages were filled with affirmation and encouragement for the student interns to pursue the noble job of teaching with the resilience to bounce back in every adversity, to remember the value of perseverance, and to continue moving forward despite setbacks. The esteemed TEP instructors also graced the occasion.

The student teachers’ culmination program showcased the talents of the pre-service teachers through dance performances. The teaching interns from various cooperating schools performed energetic dance numbers, bringing the crowd to their feet. Additionally, teacher interns from different specializations shared key takeaways from their internship journey and how those experiences have tested and strengthened their resilience and perseverance. A video presentation was also played that brought back memories of the internship.

The program concluded with a resounding message that perseverance and resilience pay off and are essential skills that each teacher must possess to live and continue the culture of NBSC in creating futures, and transforming lives, guided by God.
