NBSC Honors Excellence in Recognition Ceremony for the Graduating Class of 2023

Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – On July 31, 2023, the Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) held a Recognition Ceremony to honor the exceptional achievements of the graduating class of 2023. The event served as a celebration of the students’ remarkable accomplishments and the unwavering support of their parents and guardians throughout their academic journey.

Outstanding students from the Business Administration Department, College of Computer Studies, and Teacher Education Program were acknowledged for their scholastic excellence, leadership, creativity, and talent, receiving academic merits and special awards as a testament to their hard work and dedication.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, delivered the opening remarks, expressing her gratitude to everyone in attendance, especially the parents and guardians who took the time to join the ceremony. Their presence was a source of pride and encouragement for the graduands as they prepared to step into a new chapter of their lives.

In her address, the College President, Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden, emphasized the significant roles played by the parents, guardians, and relatives in shaping the successful future of the graduating students. She urged them to continue empowering their children to aspire for success.

“Please continue to encourage them to dream big and embrace the challenges, and diligently pursue their passions. Your continued guidance and belief in their abilities will continue to empower them to thrive in this ever-changing world,” Dr. Almaden shared.

Dr. Almaden also assured the graduands of NBSC’s continuous support as they chart their paths towards creating futures, transforming lives, guided by God.

Mr. Edmund Emetrio A. Gumaling, an alumnus of NBSC (formerly NBCC) from Batch  2009 who has achieved success in the field of teaching, graced the event as the resource speaker. Mr. Gumaling delivered an inspiring message, drawing insights from his favorite anime series and relating them to his personal experiences. Sincerity, perseverance, resourcefulness, and gratitude were the four key lessons he imparted to the graduands, encouraging them to carry these virtues in their future endeavors. 

In addition to the speeches, selected students shared their meaningful experiences during their academic journey, evoking emotions that filled the atmosphere with pride and nostalgia. The parents also had the opportunity to respond, expressing their love and encouragement to their accomplished children.

The ceremony concluded with a heartwarming message from Dr. Helen E. Maasin, the Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF). Dr. Maasin reminded the graduating students that love is not just a feeling but a practice, urging them to continue showing appreciation and paying tribute to their parents and guardians throughout their lives.

The recognition ceremony was a memorable event, honoring excellence and inspiring the graduating class of 2023 to embrace their future with courage, determination, and love.
