NBSC NSTP holds CWTS Graduation Ceremony
Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – The Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) National Service Training Program (NSTP) held the graduation ceremony for students under the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) component on June 3, 2023. The event, held at the NBSC Covered Court, was attended by Dr. Helen E. Maasin, Vice-President for Administration and Finance (VPAF); Mr. Rolan L. Mancha, Program Head of the General Education Curriculum (GEC); and the NSTP coordinator and instructors.
The renowned guest speaker, Ms. Hilda Hablado Bautista, LPT, graced the graduation ceremony. She was accompanied by her daughter, 2LT Ayessah H. Abubacar, a graduate of the “MADASIGON” Class of 2023 from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA). Ms. Bautista is an experienced and versatile professional with a background in environmental consulting, local governance, legislative staff work, office management, and journalism. Her profound insights and extensive experience enriched the occasion, inspiring the graduates and reinforcing their dedication to making a positive difference in society.
During her keynote address to the NSTP-CWTS graduates, Ms. Bautista emphasized the importance of utilizing their acquired skills and knowledge to serve society. She highlighted the significance of volunteerism, compassion, community service, and resilience. She also encouraged the students to uphold all the values they have learned and to always serve with passion and dedication.
Dr. Maasin, NBSC VPAF, shared words of inspiration focusing on service. She also acknowledged the support of the NSTP office headed by Mr. John Mark L. Boyonas, who has contributed to the program’s success and its impact on students’ personal growth.
The CWTS President, Honey Kaye Dasilao, also expressed her gratitude to the NSTP instructors and fellow students for their support and cooperation, which significantly contributed to making their NSTP journey a meaningful and worthwhile experience.
A total of 537 CWTS students completed the program, marking a significant achievement for the NSTP and NBSC community.
