NBSC NSTP successfully holds CWTS Culminating Activity

Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – The Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) National Service Training Program (NSTP) successfully held the culminating activity of the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) program for the academic year 2022-2023.  The event, with the theme “Gearing Toward a Resilient NBSC Community: Rekindling and Empowering the Role of NSTP Graduates in Volunteerism and Community Service,” was held on May 24, 2023, at the NBSC Campus Grounds.

Mr. Alven L. Gomez, MS, NBSC Extension Director, delivered the message of inspiration. He emphasized the importance of volunteerism and encouraged the students to carry forward their newfound knowledge, skills, and passion for service beyond the confines of the academic institution. 

The CWTS culmination included various activities such as the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Thinking Plan Presentation, Gardening Project, Healthy Cooking Contest, Landscaping Project Contest, and Basic First Aid Contest. Mr. Diosdado D. Ensencio, Manolo Fortich Road & Traffic Administration (MFRTA) Officer, also lectured about RTA rules and regulations, promoting road safety. The awarding of winners for the different contests followed, led by the NSTP Coordinator, Mr. John Mark L. Boyonas, MAEng.

The activity concluded with words of appreciation from Mr. Rolan L. Mancha, LPT, MAEd, Department Head of the General Education Curriculum (GEC). He urged the students to become agents of change through service, compassion, and social responsibility.

The NSTP-CWTS program at Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) is designed to develop student civic consciousness, social responsibility, and community engagement. The CWTS culmination brought together the students and instructors to celebrate a fruitful year of community service and learning.
