NBSC and DTI Hold Youth Entrepreneurship Program 2025
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)–Philippines, successfully conducted the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) 2025 on August 11 to 13, 2025, at the 2nd Floor, SWDC Building, NBSC Campus.
The whole-day activity aimed to inspire and equip young individuals with the skills, mindset, and knowledge needed to venture into business and succeed as entrepreneurs. The event featured Laurence D. Pradia, MBM, Senior Trade and Industry Specialist and Unit Head for SME Development, as the keynote resource speaker.
Participants, who were the students of the Institute for Business Management currently working on their feasibility studies, engaged in a comprehensive program covering essential entrepreneurship topics, including:
- The DTI’s Youth Entrepreneurship Program
- Cultivating an Entrepreneurial Mindset
- Starting and Growing a Small Business Enterprise
- Introduction to Business Idea Generation
The schedule also included interactive activities such as group presentations to enhance innovation and collaboration among the students.
The YEP serves as a gateway for these students to showcase the products developed through their feasibility studies in NBSC’s Income Generation Program Office and, eventually, to lease spaces for selling their products on campus. This aligns with the College’s vision of enabling students to contribute meaningfully to the school’s production services, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
Through this initiative, NBSC and DTI continue to strengthen their commitment to nurturing innovation, creativity, and community-oriented enterprise, empowering the youth to become drivers of economic growth in Northern Bukidnon State College and the local community of Manolo Fortich.
