General Description of the Functions of the Office

The Student Affairs, Services and Development Division (SASDD) of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) promotes holistic student development through inclusive, student-centered programs and services that support welfare, leadership, personal growth, and well-being. It fosters a safe and supportive learning environment, encourages student participation and civic responsibility, and upholds student rights, equality, and mental health to help develop socially responsible, competent, and productive professionals.

Office Objectives

The Student Affairs, Services, and Development Division (SASDD) of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) implements institutional and CHED policies concerning student welfare and development. It supports students’ transition to college life through counseling, career guidance, financial aid assistance, leadership formation, cultural awareness, and inclusive support programs. Through these services, SASDD promotes student well-being, personal growth, responsible behavior, and a strong sense of community, helping students achieve their academic and professional goals.

SASDD Services

  • Facilitate Student Admission and Transition – Ensure accessible admission services and support students in adjusting to college life.
  • Promote Student Welfare and Well-being – Provide guidance, counseling, health, wellness, and other support services that address students’ needs.
  • Support Career Development and Employment – Assist students in exploring career pathways, developing employability skills, and accessing job opportunities.
  • Develop Student Leadership and Life Skills – Encourage leadership formation, student organizations, and meaningful participation in campus activities and governance.
  • Promote Cultural Awareness and Inclusivity – Foster appreciation of cultural diversity, arts, and multi-faith understanding while ensuring equitable opportunities for all students.
  • Strengthen Financial and Academic Support – Facilitate access to scholarships, financial assistance, and specialized support for students with specific needs.
  • Encourage Community Engagement and Healthy Lifestyles – Promote volunteerism, civic responsibility, sports, recreation, and activities that support holistic development.
  • Maintain a Safe, Orderly, and Supportive Campus – Uphold student rights and responsibilities through fair discipline, grievance mechanisms, and a respectful learning environment.
  • Ensure Effective Student Information and Services – Provide accessible, updated information, orientation programs, and student resources, including the Student Handbook.
  • Improve Student Affairs Programs and Services – Monitor and evaluate programs, strengthen partnerships, and ensure alignment with institutional policies and applicable CHED guidelines.
