General Description of the Functions of the Office

The Information and Communications Technology Management Office was established last 2021 in support of the College’s operation with regards to its ICT needs and services, establishing its Network Infrastructure and Smart Campus Plan, and design and development of systems and programs in support of the different needs of all units of the College.

Objectives

The objective of the Information and Communications Technology Management Office is to improve the academic delivery and administrative efficiency of the College. The office is committed to building and maintaining strong computing services across academic and administrative units. The office creates ICT strategies that follow the DICT-mandated Information Systems Strategic Plan
(ISSP).

Services

Hardware Services

Hardware Services refer to the provision, installation, maintenance, and repair of all ICT equipment used within NBSC. This includes desktops, laptops, servers, networking devices, and peripherals. ICTMO ensures optimal performance through preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management aligned with the institution’s Information System Strategic Plan (ISSP).

Systems Software Services cover the installation, configuration, administration, and updating of operating systems and enterprise software used by NBSC. This includes platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, antivirus systems, and specialized academic and administrative software. ICTMO ensures software reliability, security, licensing compliance, and seamless integration with institutional systems like the Learning Management System and Integrated School Systems.

Consulting Services involve providing expert ICT advice and technical guidance to NBSC offices and stakeholders. ICTMO assists in ICT planning, system development, infrastructure design, procurement review (e.g., PPMP ICT equipment), and digital transformation initiatives such as the Smart Campus Project. These services ensure that all ICT-related decisions align with institutional goals, standards, and the ISSP.
