NBSC FACULTY JOIN ASIA-PACIFIC EDUCATION CONFERENCE TO ADVANCE CURRICULUM INNOVATION
Six faculty members from Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) joined global educators in shaping the future of education during the 2025 Asia Pacific Conference on Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing (APCCSID), held on September 26–28, 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Quezon City.
Organized by the Asia Pacific Research Association on Curriculum Studies, Inc. (APRACSI), the gathering addressed the theme “Curriculum Studies in a VUCAD2 World: Perspectives from the Asia Pacific Region.” The event brought together educators, researchers, and curriculum leaders to tackle the challenges of designing instruction for volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous, diverse, and disruptive (VUCAD2) environments.
The NBSC delegation was composed of leaders and educators from various departments. Representing the college were Dr. Christine C. Royo, Head of the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE); Dr. Dulce Amor S. Loquias, a faculty member from the same institute; and Dr. Mary Cris J. Go, Director of the Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID). They were joined by Mr. Reynan S. Salo, a faculty member from the Department of General Education Curriculum (DGEC); Ms. Leah Mae S. Cuyno, the department’s Research Coordinator; and Ms. Shiela Mae M. Orozco, Head of the Institute for Computer Studies (ICS).
As a direct outcome of their participation, the knowledge gained from the conference will be shared with the college’s graduating pre-service teachers. The delegation will lead a re-entry seminar-workshop titled “Navigating the VUCAD2 World: Curriculum and Instruction Readiness for Future Teachers” on October 22, 2025, at the NBSC campus, ensuring that cutting-edge insights are passed on to the next generation of educators. The faculty’s engagement in such a significant international forum highlights the college’s commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and scholarly inquiry. By bringing global perspectives back to the institution, NBSC enriches its own curriculum development and instructional strategies. This strategic participation not only enhances the professional growth of its faculty but also strengthens NBSC’s position as an institution dedicated to shaping resilient and forward-thinking educational leaders for the region.
