Selected faculty and staff from Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) participated in the opening day of the Seminar-Workshop on Outcomes-Based Quality Assurance: An Overview for New Accreditors, Internal Quality Assurance, and Non-Academic Personnel, held from July 9 to 11, 2025, at the Grand Ballroom of the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila.
Representing NBSC were Dr. Daniel S. Lerongan, Ma. Cassandra A. Ragandang-Tubongbanua, MBA, Shiela Mae M. Orozco, MIT, Dr. Jonel C. Murillo, and Charry Mae C. Grepon, MA. The first day set the foundation for the three-day event, gathering participants from various higher education institutions (HEIs) to strengthen their capacity in internal quality assurance and accreditation processes.
Day 1 featured key sessions led by Dr. Milabel E. Ho, Dr. Raul F. Muyong, and Dr. Anthony M. Penaso. Topics covered included an overview of the OBQA framework, document and evidence preparation for accreditation, and the AACCUP rating system. The sessions emphasized the importance of organized team efforts, accurate documentation, and crafting action plans for institutional improvement.
The seminar-workshop is still ongoing and continues to feature esteemed speakers and resource persons from the higher education sector, providing participants with expert insights and practical guidance on quality assurance and accreditation processes.
NBSCโs participation aligns with the Collegeโs ongoing efforts to prepare for future AACCUP accreditation visits and underscores its commitment to delivering quality education through a structured internal quality assurance system.
