NBSC SHOWCASES RESEARCH EXCELLENCE AT HERPRP SYMPOSIUM
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proudly took part in the recent on-site symposium organized by the Higher Education Research and Policy Reform Program (HERPRP) of the University of the Philippines’ Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP-CIDS), Diliman, last November 5, 2025 through the participation of Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice-President for Academic Affairs. The event showcased the research works of HERPRP’s three fellows: Prof. Priscilla Mizpah P. Santillana, Ph.D. of the University of Batangas, Dr. Delosa of NBSC, and Assoc. Prof. Juvy Lizette M. Gervacio, Ph.D. of the University of the Philippines Open University.
HERPRP’s research fellowship focuses on the themes of Honor and Excellence, Excellence and Equity, Equity and Diversity, and Diversity and Excellence—all emphasizing the evolving challenges and innovations in Philippine higher education.
Representing NBSC, Dr. Delosa conveyed deep gratitude to Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, SUC President I, for her unwavering commitment to advancing research excellence, as well as to Dr. Daniel S. Lerongan, Director of the Quality Assurance Office (QAO), and Dr. Christine C. Royo, Program Head of the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE), for their valuable support throughout the project. She dedicated her participation to the NBSC community, emphasizing the shared dedication to academic innovation and expressing hope that this milestone will open more avenues for collaboration and strengthen NBSC’s role in enhancing Philippine higher education.
This achievement marked an important milestone for NBSC, highlighting its growing visibility in the national academic arena. It underscored the impact of its faculty’s research in promoting institutional growth and meaningful academic engagement.
