NBSC holds research meeting with partner HEIs

Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – The Northern Bukidnon State College held a research meeting with partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for the research project entitled “Building a More Resilient HEI in Mindanao.” The meeting was done through video conferencing on March 7, 2023.

The research meeting was attended by twenty-one officials of prime institutions in Mindanao, including La Salle University, the Philippine College Foundation, San Isidro College, Ateneo de Zamboanga, St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Opol Community College, and Bukidnon State University. The College President, Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden, welcomed the representatives and expressed her appreciation for the collaborating HEIs’ dedication and support to the NBSC research project. 

The meeting involved presentations of research accomplishments of the college and the profile of the new project, as well as the discussions about the research methodology. The assistant project leader, Dr. Maria Theresa B. Markines, also presented the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). Moreover, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the research project leader, Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, further explained the importance of the study by identifying the challenges and best practices of every institution that will share stories and a culture of resilience.

The meeting concluded with words of affirmation and commitment from the different research partners.
