NBSC successfully holds 1st Grand Alumni Homecoming

Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) celebrated its “First Grand Alumni Homecoming” on March 11, 2023, at the NBSC’s covered court. The event was attended by alumni from batches 2009–2022 along with the ten pioneer teachers of NBSC, formerly NBCC.

The homecoming was themed, “Paghugpo” which signifies the unity of the college’s alumni to gather for a purpose. The celebration began with a motorcade, followed by a short program as a tribute to the pillars of the institution. During the welcome remarks, NBSC President Catherine Roween C. Almaden, Ph.D. expressed her gratitude to the pioneer instructors by commemorating their contributions. Dr. Almaden also shared the college’s commitment to helping the alumni by providing means of retooling and upskilling.

NBSC’s pillars in attendance included; Dr. Erlinda C. Chico, Mr. Anthony D. Sanchez, MA, Ms. Filipinas A. Carnetes, MA, Ms. Maria Socorro T. Bonita, MA, Dr. Christine C. Royo, Mr. Benzar Glen S. Grepon, MIT, Dr. Rizaliana B. Oliver, Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas, Mr. Fritchar H. Gevero, MA, and Ms. Rhiza Mae G. Macalos.

The event was filled with exciting activities such as recollections of college memories; talent shows; general assembly; Search for Mr. and Ms. Alumni 2023; and Pagdayong: A Job Fair Activity sponsored by Prince Hypermart, AVC Studio, and LGU-PESO. The attendees were also treated to the band performance of the 52nd Engineering Brigade Band as a concluding part.

The Paghugpo 2023 provided a platform for alumni to network, reconnect with their classmates, and establish connections that will serve them in their future endeavors. It was also an opportunity for the college to showcase its feats, accomplishments, and future plans to strengthen the ties of alumni to their alma mater.
