The conference, which brought together educators, administrators, and extension program implementers from various academic institutions across the Philippines, served as a platform for sharing best practices, innovative approaches, and success stories in the field of extension programs. NBSC recognized that extension programs would bridge the gap between the academic community and the broader society. The college’s commitment to community service and sustainable development was a great motivation for the college to participate in the conference.
One of the highlights of the event was the election of Northern Bukidnon State College’s President, Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden, represented by Mr. Alven L. Gomez, the college extension director to the prestigious positions of Auditor and Board of Directors within PAEPI Global Inc. NBSC expressed its gratitude and commitment to advancing the goals of the organization.
The conference provided a platform for all delegates to engage in fruitful discussions, exchange ideas, and establish valuable connections with other institutions committed to community development. The sharing of knowledge and experiences is expected to enhance the effectiveness of extension programs, creating a ripple effect that will positively impact communities nationwide.
As the host institution, the Maritime Academy of the Asia and the Pacific showcased its commitment to providing a conducive environment for collaborative learning and networking. The picturesque setting of Bataan and the historic Island of Corregidor, coupled with the warm hospitality of the hosts, contributed to the overall success of the conference. The participation of Northern Bukidnon State College in the PAEPI Global Inc. conference not only underscores the institution’s dedication to community service but also highlights its role as a leader in shaping the future of extension programs in the Philippines. As NBSC continues to make strides in academic and community development, the impact of its initiatives is expected to resonate far beyond the boundaries of Bukidnon.
