Teacher Education Program holds 2nd Pinning and Send-Off Ceremony
Teacher Education Program of Northern Bukidnon State College officially sends off its 107 student-interns for deployment during its 2nd Pinning and Send-Off Ceremony last February 15, 2023, anchored with the theme, “Innovate, Educate, Elevate: Empowering Interns to Transform Learning for the Next Generation.”
Pinning Ceremony is an emblem that manifests student-teachers’ acknowledgement and acceptance of the responsibility as future teachers. Dean of Teacher Education Program, Dr. Christine C. Royo ensures the preparedness of the interns as bearers of TEP Brand. TEP instructor and TLKMO Coordinator, Dulce Amor S. Loquias, PhD (CAR) emphasizes that the pin represents a solemn pledge to nurture and dedicate oneself to building a brighter future for society.
Students, parents, and the entire TEP department collaboratively celebrate this remarkable event as a holistic achievement of everyone. As part of the ceremony, the students were given parting reminders and inspirational messages by TEP Faculty Ramer N. Verdejo, an alumna of the institution. In his message, he also highlighted teachers’ integral role in the community. “As you embark on the next chapter of your journey, I urge you to hold fast to these principles of innovation, education, and elevation. Let them guide you as beacons of light in the sometimes tumultuous seas of education. And never forget the profound impact that you, as teaching interns, have the power to make on the lives of your students and the world at large.”
As a genuine response to the new journey, Jun Arthur A. Binayao, one of the student-interns, shared his response message on behalf of the 2024 batch of interns. He thanked the parents and faculty, especially the teaching internship instructors, for being with them throughout their academic journey. “For us, this signifies that after almost four long and bittersweet years of learning skills anchored on education theory and practice, we have now received the blessing to teach in our assigned schools for this semester.”
The program concluded with a gratitude song of the student-interns signifying their gratitude to their parents and to the college who nurtured them throughout the years.
