NBSC Embraces Data-Driven Research with SPSS Training
Researchers from Northern Bukidnon State College and other institutions successfully completed the first batch of the online training course on IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) organized by the Strategic Research and Development Center, Inc. (STRAND-Asia). The training aimed to equip participants with essential statistical skills using SPSS, a widely used tool for data analysis in social sciences.
NBSC’s College President, Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, EdD, CESE, expressed her support and enthusiasm through an inspiring message and commended the participants for their eagerness to enhance their skills, “…you are here, manifesting as a vital part of a larger mission to uncover insights, drive innovation, and ultimately contribute to the betterment of your respective institutions and the communities that we are privileged to serve.”
Furthermore, Dr. Villanueva-Ganiera also emphasized the importance of extending such opportunities to students in the future and shared, “I hope we could also come up with this kind of training to our students, particularly those who would be required to do research as part of their curricular program. In doing so, we are not only training our faculty and staff to increase their analytical intelligence and become high-impact researchers, but also will contribute valuable insights that will elevate our respective institutions and enrich our students’ educational experiences.”
Following the successful completion of the Basic SPSS training, another batch of faculty and staff will participate in the Advanced SPSS training course on October 10-11. This continued focus on statistical analysis skills development underscores NBSC’s commitment to supporting research and academic excellence. This is made possible through the coordination of the Research Office led by Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa.
