Northern Bukidnon State College celebrates its 4th Year Conversion Anniversary
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) marked its fourth anniversary with a celebration filled with gratitude for its achievements and optimism for its future last October 16, 2024.
From its humble beginnings as a state college in 2020, Northern Bukidnon State College, consistently upholds its mission to become a college of choice. It continues to thrive by eliminating disparities by weaving innovative opportunities, sustainable academic programs, research, and extension services.
The former Northern Bukidnon Community College (NBCC) has grown significantly since its conversion, driven by its unwavering commitment to providing quality education. The anniversary celebration was a testament to the institution’s progress and dedication to fulfilling its mission.
As part of the festivities, NBSC celebrated World Teachers’ Day on October 16, 2024. The day began with a vibrant parade followed by a spirited Zumba competition among the college’s academic and administrative departments.
In the afternoon, a solemn holy mass was held to honor the institution’s achievements and express gratitude for its blessings. The mass was followed by a heartfelt tribute to the teachers, featuring touching presentations prepared by the students. The college executives Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, College President and Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, the Vice President for Academic Affairs shared their heartfelt messages to the teachers.
Dr. Ganiera assured the teachers of her commitment to the teachers and the school. “As your president, I am honored and excited to be working with you as a team. As we navigate our future, collaborative plans and programs in maintaining our goal of nurturing and producing quality graduates who would be ready to face life’s greater challenges.”
Moreover, Dr. Delosa reminded the teachers about the value of subtraction, given the numerous additions to their load and responsibilities she mentioned, “When I say subtraction, that is to focus on what truly matters. As we continue, let us focus on what truly matters- ourselves, our hearts, because if we drive out, we can not give the love our students deserve.”
A significant highlight of the anniversary celebration was the ceremonial turnover of the college emblems to the new president. The symbolic presentation of the college seal, banner, bouquet of festivity, and cake of celebration marked a new chapter in NBSC’s history. A ceremonial prayer was also offered to invoke blessings upon the new president and the institution.
The celebration rekindled its appreciation to pillars of the institution, administrators, teachers, students, and all stakeholders who have contributed to making NBSC a college of choice.
