Honoring Excellence: NBSC Recognizes Research Achievements and Partnerships
The historic First Research Summit of Northern Bukidnon State College concluded on February 14, 2025, at the Student Welfare and Development Center, giving tribute to its active and benevolent stakeholders during the PASIDUNGOG program.
The PASIDUNGOG (Pioneering Achievements, Strengthening Innovation, Discoveries, Unity, Networks, Growth, and Outstanding Goals) is an opportunity for the Research Development and Innovation Division, headed by Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, to acknowledge the faculty and staff for their achievements and contributions as project leaders and members, and to recognize the contributions of partner stakeholders in the implementation and completion of the institutional research studies
During her speech, the College President, Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, acknowledged the importance of research in an institution. “Research is considered a powerful force for transformation, bridging gaps, solving real-world problems, and improving lives, which I believed would be more meaningful if done through collaboration and partnership,” the President shared.
The summit, themed “Celebrating Research Excellence: Partners, Progress, and Community Impact” ” showcased the breadth and depth of research being conducted at NBSC and highlighted the crucial role of external collaborations in achieving impactful outcomes. Presentations ranged from agricultural innovations and indigenous knowledge preservation to technological advancements and socio-economic studies, demonstrating the college’s commitment to addressing the diverse needs of the region.
The success of the First Research Summit has laid a solid foundation for NBSC to further solidify its role as a catalyst for innovation and progress in the region.
