NBSC Health Office Launches Health and Wellness Program
Raising banners and shouting the loudest cheers, the Northern Bukidnon State College faculty and staff convened on February 19, 2025, at the NBSC Covered Court to kick off the Health and Wellness Program, which had the theme Flex, Flow, and Fun.
The health and wellness program promotes healthy living among the NBSC employees and is filled with sports and recreational activities every Wednesday from 3 to 5 pm this year. The sports games include volleyball for women, basketball for men, badminton, table tennis, traditional games, walking, jogging, yoga, and Zumba sessions.
The college president, Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Helen E. Maasin, the Vice President for administration finance, are in sync in supporting the activity.
In her message, Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, shared a few things to remember to stay healthy and live longer: first, eat half, walk double, and laugh triple.
The Overall Chair of the Health and Wellness Program, Karl Stephen Clyde Acosta, RN, introduced the event facilitators and assistant facilitators and the group leaders of each event group. There are four groups of employees: Red Lions, Yellow Phoenix, Green Hornets, and Blue Eagle.
The launching showed the employees’ sportsmanship, camaraderie, and teamwork during the first volleyball and basketball match-up convened after the program.
