NBSC kicks off 18th Foundation Day celebration
Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – The Northern Bukidnon State College officially commenced its 18th Foundation Day celebration on March 6, 2023, bearing the theme “Braving the New Normal Through Commitment, Creativity, and Innovation.”
The event was kicked off with a motorcade attended by NBSC students, faculty, and staff. The opening program followed right after. The College President, Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden joyfully welcomed everyone during her opening remarks and extended her gratitude to the pillars of the institution. Dr. Almaden hopes that this year will become a stepping stone toward greater wisdom, that the knowledge gained over the years will lead to better judgement and decision-making, and these will lead to a greater NBSC.
The CHED Commissioner, Hon. Jo Mark M. Libre, delivered the message of inspiration through video conferencing. The commissioner congratulated the institution in reaching this significant milestone and commended everyone for their undying commitment and dedication to NBSC. In addition, Hon. Libre urged the NBSC community to remain a dedicated and well-rounded academic institution, to continue to take pride in every accomplishment, and to keep working toward a better present and a great future.
Moreover, Dr. Almaden led the hoisting of the banners together with the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, and the department heads of the academic programs. This was followed by the field demonstrations of the three academic departments.The NBSC’s 18th founding anniversary is a week-long celebration of sports, culture, and the arts from March 6–10, 2023. The culmination program will be on March 10, 2023. There will also be a Grand Alumni Homecoming and General Assembly on March 11, 2023, at the NBSC Covered Court.
