NBSC Launches 2023 Civil Service Month Celebration
Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) officially began the 2023 Civil Service Month Celebration on September 4, 2023, aligning with the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA). The theme follows PCSA’s 10-year theme, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes.” The NBSC Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), led by Ms. Mary Grace O. Buiza, MS, spearheaded the event.
The Civil Service Month Celebration commenced with an opening program attended by NBSC faculty members and staff. The program was graced by Municipal Councilor, Hon. Rina E. Quiño, who served as the guest speaker. Her message of inspiration emphasized the significant traits that civil servants should embody:
“Being in the government means proclaiming loyalty to the constitution, honesty, excellence in the performance of every single duty, and a deep and passionate love of the nation regardless of rank or employment status. When a public servant takes an oath of employment, he is reminded of his commitment to serve ethically with integrity, impartiality, and objectivity,” Hon. Quiño shared.
One of the program highlights was the launch of the Biggest Loser Contest, where participants from each department were formally introduced and underwent weigh-ins. Following the opening program, various activities were prepared, including pampering sessions, health check-ups, and ball games.
In this celebration of Civil Service Month, NBSC is committed to cultivating a culture of excellence and dedication among its diligent civil servants. Exciting activities are in store to enhance wellness and strengthen teamwork among employees. The culmination program will be on September 29, 2023.
