NBSC Spearheads NVIVO and SPSS Training to Strengthen Research on “Building Resilient HEIs in Mindanao”
In a significant stride toward fostering research excellence and resilience in Higher Education Institutions across Mindanao, Northern Bukidnon State College successfully organized an intensive NVIVO and SPSS training from November 28 to 30, 2023. The event took place at Golftel, Dreams Residence, San Miguel, Manolo Fortich Bukidnon, drawing representatives from various esteemed HEIs in the region.
Participating institutions included La Salle University, St. Michael’s College-Iligan, Philippine College Foundation, San Isidro College, Camiguin Polytechnic State College, and Opol Community College. The collaborative spirit was further enriched by the virtual presence of research partners from, Northwestern Mindanao State College, Ateneo De Zamboanga University, and Agusan Del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology.
The training equipped researchers with advanced skills in NVIVO and SPSS. Dr. Jay Fie P. Luzano, a renowned expert in qualitative research of Bukidnon State University, graced the occasion as the NVIVO guest speaker. His valuable insights and extensive knowledge provided participants with a deeper understanding of qualitative data analysis. On the other hand, NBSC faculty, Dr. Jonel C. Murillo shared practical insights into harnessing statistical tools for quantitative analysis through SPSS Workshop. NBSC is honored to lead this research endeavor, marking a significant step forward in building resilient HEIs in Mindanao.
