The 8th APAN Forum Successfully Concluded on September 1, 2023

The 8th Asia-Pacific Adaptation Network (APAN) Forum, organized by the United Nations Environment Programme’s Coordinating Body on the Seas of East Asia (UNEP-COBSEA) and Northwest Pacific Action Plan (UNEP-NOWPAP), successfully concluded on September 1, 2023.

During the session titled “Our Oceans and Seas: Harnessing Nature-Based Solutions and Regional Collaboration Towards Ecosystems Resilience,” key speakers, experts, and panelists emphasized the need for improved partnerships and collaboration among institutions and stakeholders. The discussion focused on implementing nature-based solutions and aligning funding opportunities to address the cross-cutting challenges of climate change in marine and coastal ecosystems.

Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden, President of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), was among the distinguished panelists, who participated in the forum online.
