The creation of income-generating program office (IGPO) is NBSC’s immediate response to the urgent call of the government to supplement the institution’s resources and fill in the budget gap for expenses that the college may incur. IGP’s direction is anchored on The Higher Education Modernization Act of 1998 otherwise known as R.A. 8292 encourages state colleges and universities to venture into income-generating projects to augment limited fund allocation from the national government to support their mandated functions on instruction, research, extension, and production.
