The LO of the NBSC aims to provide competent and professional legal support and guidance
to the administration, top management, faculty, staff, and stakeholders in order to ensure that policies, contracts, agreements and all other institutional actions of the NBSC are consistent and adherent to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. It endeavors to safeguard the rights and interests of the institution by overseeing and ensuring legal compliance, conducting risk assessments, and resolving disputes through the appropriate legal modes and channels. The LO likewise commits to represent the institution in judicial, quasi-judicial, and administrative proceedings with utmost competence, integrity and professionalism. Further, it undertakes to conduct continuous legal research, ensure legal compliance and develop capacity-building initiatives, and promote an institution-wide awareness of the applicable laws, rules and regulations, and thereby strengthen institutional governance in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the NBSC.
