NBSC Parade of Nations Showcases ASEAN Pride and Cultural Diversity
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) came alive with color and cultural pride during the much-anticipated Parade of Nations, one of the highlight events of the institution’s celebration of ASEAN Month 2025, anchored on the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability”.
Faculty members and non-teaching personnel took to the campus grounds in vibrant ASEAN-inspired traditional costumes, proudly carrying national flags that represented the rich cultural tapestry of the ASEAN member states. The parade aimed to promote cultural appreciation, unity in diversity, and awareness of the ASEAN region’s shared heritage.
Adding excitement to the day’s festivities, NBSC also held the ASEAN Quiz awarding ceremony, recognizing the intellectual efforts of participants who showcased their knowledge of ASEAN history, culture, and regional collaboration.
One of the event’s crowd-favorite segments was the Best Dressed Competition, where participants vied for recognition in both male and female categories. The Top 5 Best Dressed Employees for each category were awarded for their creativity, authenticity, and confidence in representing ASEAN culture through attire.
The winners for the best-dressed attire category are as follows:
Female Category: Miss Karyl Ellovido of the General Services Office (GSO) representing Indonesia.
Male Category: Mr. John Mark Vhick E. Aguiman, MPA, Instructor from the Department of General Education Curricula (DGEC) representing the Philippines.
NBSC’s ASEAN Month celebration continues to serve as a platform for fostering camaraderie, strengthening cultural ties, and promoting a deeper appreciation of the values of unity and cooperation championed by ASEAN.
