NBSC, 52nd Engineer Brigade Strengthen Ongoing Research Partnership
On January 28, 2025, a new Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between Northern Bukidnon State College and the 52nd Engineer (KAAYADAN) Brigade of the Philippine Army. This agreement strengthens the partnership, initially established in 2022, to enhance community development and educational initiatives.
The ongoing cooperation focuses on policy research assessing the effectiveness of public service delivery and its role in peace and development in Eastern Mindanao. This initiative supports the implementation of Executive Order 70 and the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC). The new agreement ensures that NBSC will lead further research on socio-economic conditions, security, and public awareness. At the same time, the 52nd Engineer Brigade will provide logistical support, security, and access to essential data.
NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE and Brig. Gen. Jose Eduardo F. Liboon, commander of the 52nd Engineer Brigade, signed the agreement in the presence of key officials from both institutions. The results of this continuing research will be presented during the brigade’s year-end Multi-Sector Advisory Board (MSAB) meeting in late 2025.
This renewed commitment underscores both institutions’ shared vision of fostering sustainable development and strengthening peace efforts in conflict-affected communities.
