NBSC Alumnus hailed as Regional Director of Department of Migrant Workers
Northern Bukidnon State College is pleased to announce the leadership breakthrough of its alumnus, Director Christian Rey Onahon Sison who has been appointed as Director IV of Department of Migrant Workers in Region I. With his outstanding accomplishments, he received his Presidential Appointment and took his Oath of Office last October 7, 2024 at Department of Migrant Workers Central Office, Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City.
Director Sison is an alumnus of the institution who brought profound honor to NBSC. His passion in professional development plays a pivotal role in his academic pathway that encapsulates his prolific educational background. He earned his diploma in Urban and Regional Planning at University of the Philippines Diliman where he also earned units in Master of Management in Public Administration in the same university.
Director Sison’s supervisory experiences are impressive, showcasing a strong commitment to public service in various roles within the government offices of Imus, Cavite. His career began as Political Affairs Assistant III at the House of Representatives, where he gained valuable insights into legislative processes. He later served as Executive Assistant at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), demonstrating his versatility and dedication. His leadership qualities came to the forefront during his time as Supervising Administrative Officer IV of the Mayor’s Office and as Head of the International Affairs Unit of the City Government. His contributions extended to the City Legal and Tourism and Heritage Offices as Government Assistant Department Head I, further solidifying his expertise in administrative and legal affairs.
The recent Presidential Appointment of Director Sison truly highlights his exceptional achievements as a young leader. His remarkable dedication to public service reflects the values fostered by the NBSC, showcasing how passion and commitment can create impactful opportunities for service and transformative change. His journey is an inspiring example for others, proving that hard work and determination can lead to impactful contributions to society.
With his humble beginnings, Director Sison paves his remarkable path as a public servant by bringing honor to his alma mater and serving as an inspiration to the community of Manolo Fortich.
