Northern Bukidnon State College’s Community Extension Services Division (NBSC-CESD) conducted a successful Bead-Making Training and Workshop on March 20, 2026, at Villa Imelda Resort in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
The activity gathered members of the Sinontao clan and women from Barangay Santiago for a hands-on learning experience in bead crafting and product development. Implemented under the GADKALINGA – Adopt A Community Extension Program, the initiative reflects NBSC’s commitment to empowering communities and promoting inclusive development.
The training was facilitated by Mr. Julius S. Gabinete, MBA, and Mr. Richfield M. Hilario, MBA, project leads of the GADKALINGA initiative. It aimed to equip participants with practical skills for sustainable livelihoods. More importantly, the initiative highlighted the significance of preserving indigenous culture through bead making, fostering creativity, strengthening community collaboration, and empowering local women as active contributors to community development, while also serving as a platform to promote cultural appreciation and economic resilience.
NBSC’s approach, guided by principles that are responsive, sustainable, and culturally grounded, connects local practices with long-term opportunities. This perspective helps the College support solutions that are practical, rooted in tradition, and built to endure.
