NBSC HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS’ CONSULTATION ON NEW ACADEMIC PROGRAMS AND SCHOLARSHIP INITIATIVES
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) reaffirmed its commitment to responsive, inclusive, and community-driven higher education through the conduct of a Stakeholders’ Consultation on Proposed Academic Programs and Scholarship Initiatives on March 19, 2026, via Zoom.
The activity was spearheaded by the Appraisal, Testing, and Admission Office (ATAO) and the Student Accounts, Scholarship Aides, and Financial Assistance Office (SASAFAO), under the leadership of Franco Ceasar M. Agbalog, MA, RPsy. The consultation gathered a diverse group of participants, including faculty members, administrative personnel, students, partner agencies, and community stakeholders from across Northern Mindanao.
During the program, the proposed new academic offerings were presented by the Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID), highlighting programs strategically designed based on institutional research, stakeholder inputs, and alignment with regional and national development priorities. The proposed programs aim to expand access to relevant and industry-responsive education, particularly in areas with strong local demand and workforce significance.
Complementing this, the scholarship programs were also presented, emphasizing NBSC’s sustained efforts to promote equitable access to higher education and support student success through financial assistance mechanisms.
An interactive open forum allowed stakeholders to share insights and recommendations. Key themes included employment opportunities, curriculum relevance, facilities readiness, and program enhancements such as certifications, specialization tracks, and future expansions. These inputs will guide the refinement of the proposed offerings prior to institutional approval and implementation.
The activity concluded with strong stakeholder affirmation of NBSC’s direction, recognizing the College’s proactive approach in aligning its academic programs with community needs, labor market demands, and development priorities.
Through this initiative, NBSC continues to strengthen participatory governance and evidence-based decision-making, reinforcing its role as a dynamic and responsive institution committed to advancing accessible, relevant, and quality higher education in the region.
