NBSC Joins 2025 PASUC Midterm Convention and General Assembly
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proudly joined the 2025 PASUC Midterm Convention and General Assembly, held on July 9โ11, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center in Manila. The convention, with the theme โForging the Future: Empowering SUCs through Innovation, Sustainability, and Excellence,โ brought together key leaders and administrators from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) nationwide.
NBSCโs official delegates included Dr. Anna Marie D. Genita, Ms. Elaine Marie J. Ombina, Ms. Grace P. Quiblat, Ms. Libra Mae D. Manzano, and Ms. Noraisah U. Radaza, who actively took part in collaborative discussions and sessions aimed at strengthening higher education in the Philippines.
Throughout the three-day convention, participants attended plenary talks featuring national leaders and experts, including Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairperson Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis and Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman. Topics covered included AI-readiness in education, sustainable leadership, global competitiveness, and improved procurement systems, highlighting the need for SUCs to adapt to technological and environmental changes while remaining committed to quality and accessible education.
For the NBSC delegation, the event was both enriching and empowering. Key takeaways included fostering innovation within campuses, aligning programs with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and leveraging digital transformation to improve institutional efficiency and impact. The team also appreciated the emphasis on work-life balance and mental health for SUC personnel, further reinforcing NBSCโs commitment to holistic development.
As NBSC progresses, the insights and strategies gained from the convention will serve as guideposts in driving local initiatives, boosting academic excellence, strengthening research and extension services, improving income-generating projects, and enhancing governance. The College remains steadfast in its mission to deliver relevant, inclusive, and future-ready education for Northern Bukidnon and beyond.
