NBSC Leaders Appointed as Adjudicators in International Research Conference
Two officials from Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) have been appointed to key roles at the BIMP-EAGA International Research Conference and Training, held from August 26 to 28, 2025, at the Citystate Asturias Hotel in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, Director of the Research, Development, and Innovation Division (RDID), served as adjudicators for the prestigious event.
The conference is a major academic gathering sponsored by the Philippine EAGA Higher Education Institutions Consortium (PEHEIC) in partnership with Palawan State University and other regional and international bodies, including the Mindanao Development Authority (MINDA). The event aims to foster academic collaboration and advance regional cooperation within the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) community.
In an official communication, PEHEIC National Chairman Dr. Hanlie A. Taha praised the NBSC officials for their “extensive expertise and proven track record in research,” calling them “exceptional additions to the panel of experts.”
Dr. Delosa and Dr. Witting-Acuesa adjudicated for Cluster 5 (Socio-Cultural and Education). Their responsibilities were crucial in maintaining the academic integrity and rigor of the research presented. In addition to their roles as adjudicators, both also participated as presenters, contributing their own scholarly work to the conference.
This dual role for two of NBSC’s key leaders represents a significant acknowledgment of the institution’s growing academic influence. The appointment highlights the college’s capacity to contribute meaningfully to international scholarly discourse and underscores its commitment to producing high-caliber, relevant research.
