NBSC LEADERS PARTICIPATE IN 2026 ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE AND NRCP INDUCTION
Reinforcing its commitment to national innovation and academic excellence, Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) sent three of its leaders to the 2026 Annual Scientific Conference (ASC) and 93rd General Membership Assembly (GMA). Held on March 13, 2026, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City, Metro Manila, the event served as a vital platform for the college to strengthen its presence within national research networks.
A significant highlight of the assembly was the formal induction of new members into the Department of Science and Technology – National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP), which included Dr. Mary Cris J. Go, a faculty member of the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE) and the Designate Director of the Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID). Dr. Go took her oath as a newly appointed Associate Member of the Council, a milestone that underscores the institution’s expanding footprint in the national scientific community.
Dr. Go was joined at the event by Dr. Daniel S. Lerongan, Head of the Quality Assurance Office (QAO), and Mr. Aldwin Lester M. Martinez, Head of the Information and Communications Technology Management Office (ICTMO). As existing Associate Members of the NRCP, their active participation emphasized the college’s collective dedication to research excellence, rigorous quality standards, and digital transformation.
The conference was anchored on the theme “Transdisciplinary Capacity Building and Ethical Research Towards a Progressive, Unified, and SDG-Driven Nation”. It brought together scientists and academic leaders from across the Philippines to foster collaboration and develop evidence-based solutions for both national and global challenges.
By maintaining a strong representation in such prestigious gatherings, NBSC aligns its institutional development with national priorities and global sustainable development goals. This continued engagement ensures that the college remains a proactive contributor to the country’s knowledge economy, fostering a culture where scholarly inquiry and scientific discovery directly inform progress and community impact.
