Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) reaffirmed its commitment to institutional development, efficient governance, and inclusive education during 2nd Quarter Special Administrative Council Meeting via hybrid session on July 23, 2025, at the Board Room, Central Admin Building.
Presided over by SUC President I, Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, the meeting brought together members of the Academic and Administrative Councils to deliberate on critical institutional matters that required approval, confirmation, and endorsement.
One of the major highlights was the discussion and request for approval of the Proposed FY 2026 Budget, which covers allocations from both the General Appropriations Act (GAA) and Internally Generated Income (IGI). The presentation emphasized fiscal responsibility and strategic resource planning. Administrative and academic matters were also taken up, underscoring the institution’s commitment to excellence in both governance and instruction.
Several key items were endorsed for Board of Trustees (BOT) approval, including the:
- Composition of the Inventory Committee and Appraisal and Disposal Committee
- Electronic Records and Management Policy
- Records and Archival Manual of Operations
- Freedom of Information (FOI) Unit Manual of Operations
- Negotiated Procurement for the Water Storage Tank Project following two failed biddings
- Various Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) under the Research, Development, and Innovation Division (RDID)
For internal approval, the Council also addressed:
- Barcode posting of ARTA IDs for faculty and staff
- Results and awarding of the food stall proposal
- Implementation of the 7S Criteria for Workplace Quality
Additional presentations included updates on the crafting of the Gender and Development (GAD) Agenda, and the revised Division Manuals of Operations for both Academic and Administrative Cluster Offices (2025 version).
The meeting concluded with a unified call to move forward with responsive leadership and evidence-based decision-making in support of NBSC’s growing role as a transformative higher education institution in Northern Mindanao.
