NBSC WRAPS UP ITS EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE JOURNEY WITH FESTIVITY AND FELLOWSHIP
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) successfully concluded its Emotional Intelligence (EI) Journey on December 4, 2025, at the NBSC Covered Court. The event opened with a holy mass officiated by Fr. Jomar Tolomia, who emphasized that true leadership is demonstrated through actions grounded in values.
After the mass, the formal program followed with Ms. Blessel Jane N. Quiño as host. A prayer, accompanied by a presentation by ITE 151 under the direction of Mr. Anthony D. Sanchez, MAED, added a meaningful touch to the gathering. Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, then delivered the opening remarks, acknowledging the significance of the event in fostering growth within the NBSC community.
A special moment of the program was a video that highlighted NBSC’s EI journey, showcasing key moments from the various workshops held in batches for both faculty and non-teaching staff. These workshops, the first of their kind at NBSC, aimed to develop emotional intelligence and made a lasting impact on everyone who participated. The video captured the essence of the initiative, reflecting the positive outcomes from each group’s journey.
NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, then led the candle-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the collective commitment to emotional awareness and understanding. Dr. Ganiera also expressed the institution’s gratitude to Teresita R. Albert for her mentorship and integral role in the success of the workshops. Faculty and non-teaching staff from various batches echoed their appreciation for Ms. Albert’s guidance and for Dr. Ganiera’s leadership in championing the initiative.
The festive spirit of the event was enhanced by the opening of Christmas lights—another first for NBSC—further reinforcing a sense of unity and celebration among the attendees. The evening concluded with a boodle fight dinner, where faculty and staff came together to enjoy a relaxed and joyful meal, fostering a sense of camaraderie and fellowship within the NBSC community.
The Emotional Intelligence Wrap-Up Journey not only celebrated the completion of the workshops but also reaffirmed NBSC’s dedication to promoting the overall well-being of its employees. By prioritizing emotional and mental wellness, the college continues to cultivate a supportive and resilient community equipped to face challenges with empathy and confidence.
