NBSC PARTICIPATES IN NASUCS 2025 NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) was proudly represented by Board Secretary Caroline Laarni R. Sereñas at the NASUCS, Inc. 2025 National Conference and General Assembly, held from November 19–21, 2025, at the Lohas Hotel and Resort in Clark, Pampanga. This prestigious event, organized by the National Association of State Universities and Colleges Secretaries, Inc. (NASUCS, Inc.) in partnership with the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), brought together board secretaries from state universities and colleges nationwide. It provided a unique platform for participants to exchange ideas, share best practices, and strengthen their professional skills in support of the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) ACHIEVE agenda.
Themed “Guardians of Governance: Future-proofing the Board Secretaries,” the conference featured a series of sessions designed to address critical issues in higher education governance. These included discussions on legal matters, internationalization strategies, updates from the Commission on Audit (COA), mental health awareness, and a final sharing of best practices from various institutions. The event’s multi-faceted approach ensured that attendees gained a deeper understanding of emerging challenges and opportunities in board governance.
NASUCS, Inc. is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the skills and effectiveness of board secretaries, who are instrumental in the governance and administration of SUCs throughout the Philippines. By participating in events like this national conference, NBSC reaffirms its commitment to fostering strong governance practices and continuous professional development.
