NBSC’S TULAY ONBOARDING CONNECTS NEW FACULTY TO CAMPUS SYSTEMS
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) welcomed its new faculty members through TULAY: Onboarding for New Faculty on February 11, 2026, at the Learning Resource Center (LRC). The activity was facilitated by Jee Ann Marie E. Guibone of the Office of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA).
Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, opened the program with a short address and led a creative introduction activity that allowed participants to present themselves in a personal way. She also touched on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and shared reflections from her early teaching career, highlighting how adapting to changing demands is part of the academic journey.
The onboarding then transitioned to practical institutional guidance. Noreen Faye M. Esta, Focal Person for Learning and Development under the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), outlined HR-related processes and support mechanisms that new faculty members commonly encounter. Dr. May Cris J. Go, Director of the Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID), followed with a session focused on CID-related procedures and expectations.
Franco Ceasar M. Agbalog, MA, RPsy, Head of the Appraisal, Testing, and Admission Office (ATAO) and the Student Accounts, Scholarship Aides, and Financial Assistance Office (SASAFAO), shared an overview of the 2F3C Framework, which highlights the five core 21st century competencies: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Character.
Each segment was paired with opportunities for participants to ask questions, share ideas, and reflect on their experiences, keeping the session flexible and interactive. The event maintained an open atmosphere that encouraged dialogue without formal constraints.
By bringing together key offices and newly hired faculty in one setting, NBSC continues to strengthen the foundations of its academic environment, helping newcomers navigate the institution’s systems while also fostering a shared sense of direction.
