NBSC CONDUCTS TRAINING ON DESIGN, PRICING, AND BRANDING FOR BAMBOO PROCESSING PROJECT
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) conducted a training on product design innovation, pricing, packaging, and branding on March 18, 2026, at the Flowing Grain Learning Center in Purok 4, Batingtingan, Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The activity formed part of its ongoing project on the utilization of the Department of Science and Technology – Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI) technology for the establishment of an engineered bamboo processing facility in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon-D1. Participants were members of the Natural Green Association, with facilitation led by Kristine Deanne Veck C. Tortola, MBA, and Niñan Grace L. Paña, MBA.
The session introduced general considerations in shaping bamboo-based products for potential markets, bringing together ideas on design, pricing, packaging, and branding. Activities were conducted to provide a working view of how these areas connect, with attention given to aligning product development with basic market expectations. Rather than focusing on isolated steps, the discussion placed these elements within a broader process that supports product readiness.
NBSC’s continued engagement in initiatives of this nature strengthens its role in supporting community-based enterprise development. By linking technical knowledge with practical decision-making, the College contributes to shaping more responsive and market-aware community practices. Over time, engagements like this build a quieter but more defined pathway for both the association and NBSC, where outcomes are measured not only by activities conducted, but by how well these translate into sustained, working results.
