NBSC BENCHMARKS WITH UNIVERSITY OF MINDANAO TO STRENGTHEN ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), through its Curriculum and Instruction Division, conducted a benchmarking activity with the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 (𝗨𝗠) 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, to enhance academic programs and ensure alignment with CHED standards.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa emphasized strengthening curriculum, faculty qualifications, facilities, and board performance as key drivers of program quality.
UM highlighted its BS Entrepreneurship program as a model of innovation, integrating business creation through a Business Incubation Center, while its BS Tourism Management program showcased experiential learning, industry exposure, and TESDA-aligned competencies.
Discussions focused on curriculum structure, laboratory requirements, and program sustainability, underscoring the importance of strict CHED compliance and institutional coordination.
The benchmarking activity concluded with mutual recognition of the importance of industry partnerships, experiential learning, qualified faculty, and strategic program planning in delivering quality higher education. The University of Mindanao expressed its continued support for NBSC through future collaborations, consultations, and benchmarking engagements. This initiative reflects NBSC’s proactive efforts to align its academic offerings with national standards and global trends, reinforcing its commitment to delivering accessible, relevant, and high-quality education.
