Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, EdD, CESE, serves as the College President of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC). She brings with her extensive experience in higher education leadership, institutional governance, and organizational development, having previously served as College President of Davao de Oro State College from 2016 to 2024.
She earned her Doctor of Education major in Educational Management from the University of Mindanao in 2009, Master in Public Administration from the University of Mindanao-Tagum College in 2006, and Bachelor of Secondary Education from the University of Mindanao-Tagum College in 1998. She is a Career Executive Service Eligible (CESE) and a Licensed Professional Teacher, with Civil Service Professional and Sub-Professional eligibility.
Throughout her career, she has held various key academic and administrative positions, including College President of Davao de Oro State College, College President of Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology, and faculty member and graduate school professor at the University of Mindanao. These roles have shaped her strong foundation in academic leadership, institutional development, and public service.
Her leadership has consistently focused on strengthening institutional systems in governance, quality assurance, human resource development, and strategic planning. She is committed to advancing efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement within higher education institutions.
As a researcher and academic leader, she has contributed to the advancement of knowledge in education and organizational development, promoting innovation, digital transformation, and evidence-based management in academic institutions.
As President of NBSC, she upholds the core institutional values of Cleanliness, Punctuality, and Respect (CPR), which guide the college community in fostering discipline, professionalism, and a culture of excellence. Her leadership vision centers on academic excellence, institutional growth, innovation in teaching and research, strengthened community engagement, and the development of a values-driven and future-ready academic institution.
