NBSC HIGHLIGHTS APPOINTMENTS, RESEARCH, AND LEADERSHIP IN MONDAY CONVOCATION
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) held the oathtaking ceremony for its newly hired personnel during its Monday Convocation on May 11, 2026, at the NBSC Covered Court, formally recognizing their appointments across key offices of the institution.
The newly appointed personnel were:
• Riza May G. Yangular – Planning Officer II, Planning and Development Office (PDO);
• Honey Jane S. Nasara – Board Secretary I, Office of the College and Board Secretary (OCBS);
• Jocie Ann C. Boyles – Administrative Officer I (Records Officer I), Records and Archival Office (RAO);
• Christine T. Landayan – Administrative Assistant III (Secretary II), OCBS;
• Maica Christy E. Guibay – Administrative Aide VI (Clerk III), OCBS;
• Edwin Jr. B. Binongcal – Administrative Aide VI (Clerk III), RAO; and
• Diah Mae T. Tao – Administrative Aide VI (Clerk III), Budget Office.
Following the oathtaking ceremony, NBSC recognized faculty members and researchers through On-the-Spot (OTS) Awards for their academic and research achievements in national and international conferences.
Among the awardees and honorees were:
• Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, for Best Paper Presenter during the Regional Research Conference at Ateneo de Zamboanga University;
• Mr. Cedric S. Cubacub for Best Presenter at the Capitol University 2nd International Research Festival;
• The NBSC research team led by Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa for winning Best Paper at the 7th ICEEA and 4th SHGBEE conferences;
• Mr. Melven I. Valmoria as recipient of the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship (2026–2027) in Haryana, India;
• Dr. Mary Cris J. Go and Mr. Benzar Glen S. Grepon, MIT, as Asia Future Conference 2026 scholars in Sendai, Japan; and
• Ms. Leah Mae S. Cuyno and her co-authors for receiving the Philippine Special Subsidy grant at the 8th Asia Future Conference.
The event also included the recognition of former officers and members of the Board of Directors of the Non-Teaching Personnel Association, Inc. (NTPA), followed by the oathtaking of the newly elected officers and Board members.
The newly elected NTPA officers are:
• President – Maria Socorro T. Bonita, MA;
• Vice-President – Michael Q. Mosquera, MLIS;
• Secretary – Leanel C. Elcana;
• Treasurer – Blessel Jane M. Quiño; and
• Auditor – Jhasvart P. Mahilum.
Meanwhile, the members of the Board of Directors are:
• Aldwin Lester M. Martinez;
• Jaygreth L. Sambalod, MPSM;
• Engr. Jestoni G. Tortola;
• Daniel S. Lerongan, Ph.D.;
• Engr. Eleonor L. Navales;
• Karl Clyde Stephen C. Acosta, RN;

• Airene May T. Ragol; and
• Silverio P. Alvior, Jr., CPA.
The series of activities reflected NBSC’s continuing commitment to strengthening institutional operations, recognizing academic excellence, and fostering leadership and collaboration among its personnel. Through these milestones, the College further reinforces its mission of promoting professionalism, research innovation, and responsive public service within the academic community.
