NBSC PARTICIPATES IN INTERNATIONAL PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP AT MSU-IIT
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proudly participated in the workshop titled “Forging Ties Between Research, Practice, and Advocacy” held on May 7–8, 2026, at Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), Iligan City.
The workshop was co-hosted by MSU-IIT and the Bonn International Center for Conflict Studies, bringing together scholars, researchers, extension practitioners, and advocates committed to community-oriented peace and development initiatives.
Representing NBSC at the workshop was Mr. Alven L. Gomez, MSEST, Director of the Community Extension Services Division, who highlighted the institution’s strong commitment to advancing extension programs, community engagement, and peacebuilding initiatives in the region.
The invitation and coordination for the activity were facilitated by Dr. Primitivo III C. Ragandang, Associate Professor and Director of the Office of Research Dissemination under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise of MSU-IIT.
The activity served as a venue for meaningful dialogue and collaboration among institutions and organizations working toward strengthening the connection between research, practice, and advocacy for inclusive and sustainable community development.
Through its participation, NBSC reaffirmed its dedication to fostering partnerships and promoting extension initiatives that advance peace, development, and social transformation, aligned with the institution’s mission and vision.
