NBSC EQUIPS NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL THROUGH NEGOSYO 2.0 CAPABILITY-BUILDING PROGRAM
The Income Generation Program Office (IGPO) of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) successfully conducted “NEGOSYO 2.0 – NBSC Employees’ Growth through Opportunities and Skills Yielding Ownership: A Capability-Building Program” on June 16, 2026, via Zoom.
The activity was formally opened by Mr. John Kevin A. Artuz, JD, the Vice-President for Administration and Finance, who emphasized the importance of sound financial management, budgeting, saving, and understanding how product costing serves as a fundamental component in establishing sustainable business ventures.
The training featured discussions on Financial Literacy and Product Costing by Ms. Deanne Antoniette Y. Lagat, Assistant Unit Manager of PRU Life UK in Cagayan de Oro City. She shared valuable insights and practical strategies on managing personal finances and understanding the principles of product costing. Her expertise provided participants with a deeper appreciation of how financial awareness and entrepreneurial knowledge can work together to achieve personal and economic growth.
The integration of Financial Literacy and Product Costing emphasized an important message: while managing finances wisely is essential, there are instances when achieving long-term financial goals requires finding additional sources of income. Through entrepreneurship or negosyo, employees are encouraged to explore opportunities that may improve their financial stability and future security.
Through initiatives such as NEGOSYO 2.0, NBSC continues to promote employee development by providing opportunities for learning beyond regular workplace responsibilities and fostering a culture of innovation, financial responsibility, and entrepreneurship. The College remains committed to empowering its employees through relevant capability-building programs that support personal growth and institutional development.
