NBSC OPENS 126TH CIVIL SERVICE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WITH SERVICE, WELLNESS AND TEAM SPIRIT
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) kicked off its monthlong celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on September 2, 2026, bringing together teaching and non-teaching personnel in a celebration of public service, camaraderie, and wellness.
The program began with a parade of employees representing their respective teams, led by College officials and the NBSC ROTC Band.
In her opening message, College President Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera emphasized the anniversary theme, “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan.” She reminded employees that heroism in public service is often reflected in quiet, everyday acts: preparing well for class, patiently assisting students, helping colleagues, and keeping the campus clean, safe, and orderly.
“Puso sa Serbisyo means doing our work with concern and compassion for the person in front of us. That is why I continue to remind everyone: at NBSC, every learner matters,” she said.
The President also encouraged employees to prioritize their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, emphasizing that sustained excellence in public service requires adequate rest, reflection, and genuine concern for one another.
Following her message, employees participated in the technology-enabled Lingkod Bayani Commitment Wall signing. The banners of the Blue Marlins, Red Stallions, Green Gators, Yellow Leopards, Purple Dinos, and Pink Panthers were then unveiled, followed by spirited “Let’s Get Loud” presentations from each team.
The afternoon activities featured basketball, online games, and a unity volleyball game using an oversized inflatable ball, fostering teamwork, communication, and camaraderie among employees.
The opening activities set the tone for the monthlong celebration, which aims to strengthen camaraderie, promote employee wellness and teamwork, foster sportsmanship, and renew the collective commitment to excellence in public service.
President Villanueva-Ganiera concluded by reminding employees: “Let us serve with puso, carry out our duties with dangal, and give our galing without losing our health, peace, and happiness along the way.”
