NBSC PERSONNEL SEAL THEIR LINGKOD BAYANI PLEDGE THROUGH TECHNOLOGY-ENABLED COMMITMENT WALL
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) marked a highlight of its opening celebration for the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary through the signing of its Lingkod Bayani Commitment Wall, led by College President Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE; Vice President for Administration and Finance John Kevin A. Artuz, MS; and Vice President for Academic Affairs Jovelyn G. Delosa, Ph.D.
Moving beyond the traditional printed tarpaulin, the College used technology to provide a modern platform for personnel to register their commitment. Teaching and non-teaching employees were enjoined to participate, turning the activity into a collective and visible affirmation of the values expected of every public servant.
Before the signing, President Villanueva-Ganiera invited the NBSC community to raise their right hands and make a common pledge. She explained that every signature should represent a personal promise to serve honestly, responsibly, and with genuine care for the students, communities, and other stakeholders whom the College is privileged to serve.
The employees pledged to serve with genuine care, perform their duties with integrity, and give their best to the students, communities, and country.
The commitment echoed the anniversary campaign message, “Puso sa Serbisyo, Dangal sa Tungkulin, at Galing sa Paglilingkod.” For NBSC, puso calls for compassion and sincere concern, particularly in assisting students who may approach an office worried, confused, or afraid to ask for help. Dangal demands integrity, fairness, punctuality, and responsible stewardship of public resources. Galing requires employees to give their best and make excellence a consistent habit.
The use of technology also reflected the College’s continuing direction toward paperless and digitally enabled institutional practices. More than a ceremonial innovation, the technology-enabled wall created a common space where individual commitments became one institutional promise.
President Villanueva-Ganiera stressed that the pledge must extend beyond the opening program. Its true meaning, she said, will be demonstrated in how employees perform their duties, use their time, treat others, and care for themselves and one another when they return to their classrooms and offices.
With the College President signing first, followed by the personnel, the Commitment Wall became a symbol of solidarity, accountability, and shared responsibility. It reminded the NBSC community that being a Lingkod Bayani is expressed not only through major accomplishments, but also through the quiet, consistent, and compassionate work carried out each day.
The activity opened a monthlong observance centered on public-service values, camaraderie, wellness, and institutional unity. As signatures gathered on the digital wall, so did a shared resolve: to serve with malasakit, act with integridad, pursue kahusayan, and dedicate every service para sa bayan.
