NBSC HEALTH SERVICES OFFICE CONDUCTS BLOOD DONATION PROGRAM 2026
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), through its Health Services Office (HSO), conducted its second Blood Donation Program of 2026 on September 22, 2026, at the Ground Floor of the SWDC Building, bringing together students and employees in support of voluntary blood donation and community health.
Carrying the theme “Give Blood, Save Lives, Be a Hero,” the activity recorded a total of 46 participants and blood donors from the NBSC community who responded to the call for voluntary blood donation.
The program was organized in partnership with the Municipal Health Office (MHO), Laboratory Section–Manolo Fortich, and the Department of Health (DOH) Center for Health Development–Northern Mindanao, through the Northern Mindanao Regional Blood Center.
The mobile donation team was composed of Juben Irvin Sanchez, MedTech II, Northern Mindanao Regional Blood Center (CHD-NM); Nur Mahmood A. Muti, Rural Health Physician, Municipal Health Office, Manolo Fortich; and Elaine V. Chung, MedTech II, MHO–Manolo Fortich Laboratory Section, together with her team. Their participation and technical assistance supported the conduct of the blood donation activity.
Leading the implementation of the program was the NBSC HSO headed by Mr. Karl Clyde Stephen Acosta, RN, with the assistance of Nathalie E. Rumbaoa, RN, and Maigel G. Pepay. The HSO team coordinated with the partner health agencies and facilitated the participation of students and employees in the activity.
The Blood Donation Program 2026 highlighted the importance of collaboration among the NBSC HSO, partner health agencies, and members of the NBSC community. Through their collective participation, the activity reinforced the values of compassion, generosity, and service to others, demonstrating how volunteerism can contribute to saving lives and building a healthier community.
The activity further underscored NBSC’s commitment to promoting the health and well-being of its stakeholders while encouraging a culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility.
