NBSC STRENGTHENS SINONTAO CLAN LIVELIHOOD THROUGH PRODUCT PACKAGING TRAINING
Northern Bukidnon State College strengthened its support for community livelihood development through a Product Packaging Training conducted for the Sinontao Clan in Barangay Santiago, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, on September 25, 2026. The activity was held as part of the GADKALINGA: Adopt a Community Extension Project, providing community members with practical skills in product packaging, presentation, labeling, and market readiness.
The activity was facilitated by Mr. Rich Field M. Helario, Project Leader, and Ms. Clarie Cardente of the Extension Office, with Ms. Kristine Deanne Veck C. Tortola serving as the resource speaker.
Through hands-on learning, participants gained practical knowledge and skills that they can apply to improve the appearance, protection, and perceived value of their products. These skills can also help them become more competitive in local markets.
The activity is expected to contribute to better-prepared products, increased market appeal, potential income-generating opportunities, and greater confidence among community members in managing their livelihood activities. It also encouraged the use of local resources and packaging approaches that reflect and preserve the cultural identity of the Sinontao Clan.
By translating training into practical livelihood skills, GADKALINGA continues to support the Sinontao Clan in building greater self-reliance, strengthening their economic opportunities, and developing sustainable community-based enterprises.
