NBSC holds Research Writeshop
Northern Bukidnon State College takes its strides for research advancement by hosting a research writeshop in consonance with the research project, “Building a More Resilient HEIs in Mindanao,” held last December 13-14, 2023, at Dreams Residences, San Miguel, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
The said writeshop encompasses fruition of research engagements between the NBSC Research Team composed of Project Leader Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Dr. Maria Theresa B. Marines-Cabudoy, Assistant Project Leader alongside with the Component Leaders; Mary Cris J. Go, MSciEd, Jellian Grace C. Mabale, MS, Caroline Laarni R. Serenas, MPS, Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas, and project members.
Esteemed research partners across Mindanao participated in the event and presented their initial research findings. These partner institutions involve La Salle University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Camiguin Polytechnic State College, Agusan del Sur of State College and Technology, Davao del Sur State College, San Isidro College, Opol Community College, St. Michael’s College of Iligan, Tagoloan Community College, and Philippine College Foundation.
To empower researchers with crucial data analytic skills, Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden, NBSC College President, enlightened the event with her discussion on resiliency indices, emphasizing the importance of measuring and building institutional strength. This talk was also equated with Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, NBSC Vice-President for Academic Affairs, discussing resolving data intricacies with Rasch Analysis for data validity.
Furthermore, the inspiring messages of Dr. Helen E. Maasin, NBSC Vice-President for Administration and Finance, and Dr. Dolorita C. Nacua-Arao, PhD, OCC OIC President, also added savor to the two-day workshop. This research writeshop solidifies the knowledge sharing and commitment of NBSC and partner institutions in Mindanao to foster a resilient and research-driven network to greater heights.
