NBSC Provides Comfortable Spaces for Students with New Furniture
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) has significantly enhanced its student services this year by installing newly procured steel tables and benches. These additions aim to provide students with comfortable and convenient spaces for studying, socializing, and other activities.
Twenty steel tables and ten steel benches have been strategically placed at the Student Welfare and Development Center (SWDC) and the Institute for Business Management (IBM) building. These locations were chosen to maximize accessibility and provide students with designated areas for collaboration and relaxation.
The impact of the new furniture has been immediate and positive. Students have readily embraced the improved facilities and are utilizing them daily. Nicole Bulanta Magdalino, a first-year marketing management student at IBM, shared her experience.
“𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘩𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘢 𝘯𝘢 𝘮𝘪 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯…𝘜𝘴𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘨𝘶𝘥 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘴 7:30 𝘵𝘰 9:00, 𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘰𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘴 3 𝘱𝘢. 𝘚𝘢 𝘨𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘢 𝘮𝘪 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯, 𝘥𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘪 𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘰𝘥-𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘰𝘥. 𝘛𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘴 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘢𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘯, 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳 𝘱𝘰𝘥.” (While waiting for class, we already have a place to hang out. Sometimes our class is from 7:30 to 9:00, then the next one is at 3:00. Outside of school there’s nowhere for us to hang out, so we just sit around here inside. And if we have something to do, we can also do it here.)
Shaun Neil A. Oray, a second-year business administration student, echoed Magdalino’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of furniture for group work.
“𝘔𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘺𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘧 𝘯𝘢𝘢𝘺 𝘷𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘬𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘦, 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘸𝘦𝘥𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘥 𝘬𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢-𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴. Before, we would just stand around, there were no benches, and we would just hang out on the stairs.)
The new furniture at NBSC represents a valuable investment in student well-being and academic success. These comfortable spaces support individual and collaborative learning, and student feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. This initiative demonstrates NBS’s commitment to enhancing the student experience and fostering a supportive campus environment.
