General Services Office - Northern Bukidnon State College

The General Services Office provides guidance on the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of quality infrastructure to ensure a safe, sustainable, and environmentally friendly environment for the college community. It encompasses lands, buildings, and furnishings, including all physical facilities for academic, administrative, and ancillary spaces.

The college’s facilities consist of various buildings for academic and administrative activities, equipment for both academic and non-academic purposes, sports and recreational areas, as well as landscaped spaces such as trees, roads, and pathways.

This manual serves as a guideline for the college administration, faculty, staff, and students. The goal of the Maintenance and Infrastructure Office is to efficiently utilize land resources, construct innovative hybrid buildings, and develop advanced facilities. The office emphasizes sustainable land use, environmentally friendly landscaping, and the creation of functional, cost-effective, and structurally sound facilities while maintaining aesthetic value.

Guidelines:

All classrooms must not be below CHED standards.
All facilities shall adhere to the requirements of “New Normal” brought about by COVID-19
Classrooms shall have proper ventilation and shall maintain air circulation.
There should be available comfort rooms especially designed for Persons with Disability (PWD).
There should be an inclusion of ramps in all infrastructures where Persons with Disability (PWD) frequent.
There should be a Parking area for at-least one percent (1%) of the campus population.
There should be infrastructures compliance to Environmental Standards.
Provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all construction site and maintenance activities as required.

Services

Campus Maintenance
Regular cleaning of Facilities. Namely; classrooms, offices, comfort rooms, covered court, stage, benches, stalls, halls, canteen, dining halls, parking, dorms, gymnasium, kitchen, roads and surroundings and other less specified.
Regular pruning of trees.
Regular watering of plants.
Regular trimming of plants and grass.
Regular beautification of landscapes.
Regular accounting of functional maintenance equipment.
Minor repair and maintenance of vehicles.
Safekeeping maintenance equipment and materials after usage.
Inlets of drainages must be regularly cleared to prevent unnecessary flooding.
Drainages must be checked regularly out of piles of garbage.
Roofs must be checked regularly out of piles of leaves that cause leakages on ceilings.
