NBSC Strengthens International Engagement through FSTP ODA and Erasmus+ Caravan 2025 Participation
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), through its International Affairs and External Linkages Office, actively joined the Mindanao leg of the Foreign Scholarship and Training Program of the Official Development Assistance to the Philippines (FSTP ODA) and Erasmus+ Caravan 2025 held on June 11โ12, 2025, at Park Inn Hotel, Davao City. Representing the college, Dr. Sheilou Amor B. Ubagan attended the two-day event organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) International Affairs Service.
The caravan gathered higher education institutions across Mindanao to promote foreign scholarship and training opportunities through the FSTP and Erasmus+. The event also served as a venue to highlight academic mobility programs and capacity-building initiatives supported by international partners.
Participation in this event aligns with one of the strategic priorities of NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D, CESE, who has strongly advocated for expanding the collegeโs internationalization efforts. Under her leadership, NBSC continues to pursue global linkages to provide broader opportunities for faculty development, student mobility, and institutional collaboration.
The sessions included presentations on Erasmus+ Mundus Joint Masters, International Credit Mobility, and scholarships from countries such as Hungary, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, the United States, and Israel. Insights and testimonials from past grantees enriched the discussions, offering inspiration and practical guidance for future applicants.
Dr. Ubaganโs participation further strengthens NBSCโs commitment to building international networks and advancing its mission of delivering globally competitive and community-responsive education.
NBSC looks forward to greater participation in similar international initiatives and encourages its academic community to explore global engagement and growth opportunities.
